There are two types of Dental Veneers the Porcelain and Composite Resin Veneers. These Dental Veneers are further divided into two types the direct and indirect ones.

In the indirect ones the impression is taken from the mouth with the help of suitable material and then these are prepared according to the cast in a laboratory by the technician but in the direct ones the whole procedure is done in the mouth of person.

The composite resin veneers can be used with metallic restorations these are not considered as a permanent material due to the poor wear resistance. Porcelain Dental Veneers are better as the wear resistance is high as compared to Composite Resin Veneers.

You can have Dental Veneers if you are suffering from discoloured teeth or teeth having minimal wear and tear or teeth with small fractures. Remember as the Dental Veneers are to make the use in aesthetics there is no use of them if the person is having the sound teeth with no defect and also the aesthetic is satisfied.

If you want to enhance your smile from the previous one that is not so good either due to discoloured or some broken or chipped away tooth material then you can have Dental Veneers as the best and non invasive option..
